Frequently Asked Questions

What Services Do You Offer?

I offer Jungian analysis and depth psychotherapy to individual adults. I also facilitate online dream groups—an accessible and affordable way to do deep, imaginal work in community. In addition, I provide supervision and mentorship for psychotherapists, interns, and healing practitioners interested in a depth-oriented or nature-based approach.

My nature-based offerings include programs, mentorship, and training, often in collaboration with the School of Lost Borders. I also consult with individuals and organizations who wish to integrate wilderness rites of passage and Earth-based practices into their professional or personal lives.

If you're interested in Jungian psychotherapy, consultation, or mentorship, you're warmly invited to get in touch with me directly.

What is the difference between Jungian Analysis and psychotherapy?

While similar in many ways, Jungian analysis places a specific focus on individuation—the lifelong unfolding of the self as it integrates both conscious and unconscious material. Jung described individuation as “a process of transformation whereby the personal and collective unconscious are brought into consciousness.”

This work often includes dream tending, active imagination, shadow exploration, and creative or symbolic expression. While one may not remain in active analysis forever, individuation is a deeply spiritual, ongoing process of becoming.

Jungian analysts complete extensive training well beyond licensure, including years of personal analysis, consultation, coursework, exams, and written work. In many ways, becoming an analyst is less about accumulating knowledge and more about doing the inner work necessary to support others with integrity and depth.

How Do I Get the Most from Jungian Psychotherapy?

Therapy works best when approached as a sacred collaboration. It can be helpful to begin with a clear(ish) intention—even if that intention is simply to slow down and listen.

I often encourage clients to:

  • Keep a dream or image journal
  • Engage in active imagination or creative expression
  • Attend to synchronicities and embodied symbols

Most of all, come with curiosity, openness, and a willingness to be changed. Growth often requires discomfort, and therapy can stir things up before they settle. But it is also a space for tenderness, humor, and unexpected joy.

For the deepest benefit, I recommend starting with weekly sessions. Therapy is not about perfection. It’s about presence.

What are Your Fees, and Do You Take Insurance?

Sessions typically last 50–55 minutes.

My standard fee reflects the depth and training involved in this work. If you're curious about working together, please contact me to discuss my current rates.

I offer a limited number of sliding scale and low-fee spaces, prioritizing those who are economically marginalized, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+.

I do not bill insurance directly. However, if your plan offers out-of-network coverage, I can provide monthly superbills for potential reimbursement. Please check with your insurance provider for details.

What is Your Cancellation Policy?

I have a 48-hour cancellation policy. If you cancel within 48 hours, you're responsible for the full session fee.

Do You Provide Online Therapy?

Yes. A large portion of my practice is conducted virtually. I work with clients across California (for psychotherapy) and worldwide (for analysis, consultation, and mentorship).
